BIG TURNOUT FOR MARCH MTG.

48 members and guests showed up for Chris Richter's excellent slide show on the construction of TimberBanks Golf Course. This is an upscale golf facility, designed by the Jack Nicklaus Co. Very interesting ,informative and well done! Followed by our usual delicious buffet lunch at Orchard Vali.

Jack Tuthill, son of Chuck Tuthill of Lake Winds Golf Course in Canindaigua won the drawing for the annual CNYGCSA Scholarship. Congratulations!

The Bd. of Dir. decided to give two $1000 scholarships next year as a result of the $3000 prize the Chapter will be given by Lebanon Fertilizer Co. as a result of Kieth Erdige's dog Millie being voted as best dog for the calendar at the GCSAA Show. The other $2000 will remain in the treasury, with future use to be determined.

There will be no meeting in April. Next meeting will be May 4, site to be announced, with Dr. Frank Rossi of Cornell U speaking on FESCUE ON THE GOLF COURSE.
