Dear Mr. Perry,
My name is Cory Phillips. We spoke back before the GIS about our
organization and the possible mention on your website. I appologize for
the delay in getting back with you. The International Golf Course
Equipment Managers Association would like your help in spreading the
word about our association. We would appreciate it if you could include
the short article below on your website. We're hoping the
Superintendants will pass it on to their Equipment Managers/Technicians.
Thank you in advance for your help. Please email me when you put it up
so we could mention it on our website.
Thanks again for your time,
Cory Phillips

The IGCEMA Requests Your Support
On September 1, 2006 Golf Course Equipment Managers and Technicians from
around the world came together to form what is now the International
Golf Course Equipment Managers Association (IGCEMA). The Association was
developed to enhance the profession of the Golf Course Equipment
Manager, Technician, Mechanic or any of the other names these
professionals have been called over the years. The Association prides
itself on providing education to the Equipment Managers and Technicians
all over the world through various channels. Today's rapidly changing
technology and the shortage of qualified Managers and Technicians
requires a far-reaching program to increase the educational
opportunities and the career awareness of the Equipment Manager and
Technician positions. We encourage every Superintendent, Greens Keeper,
Equipment Manager and Technician to join our association and work
towards finding new ways for us to help ourselves. The association is
currently free to join and is certainly worth taking the time to check
out. So please visit us today at www.igcema.org
and help us chart the
course for the professional Golf Course Equipment Manager and
Technician.
